Once again, the Malta Tennis Federation will be organising the BOV Top 8 Masters tournament reserved for the top 8 ranked players who are eligible to represent Malta in international events.
This year the event will be held between the 18th and the 23 rd December at the Marsa Sports Club and continues to be sponsored by the Bank of Valletta for the organisation of the tournament.
The eight participants this year will be: Liam Delicata, Alex Degabriele, Matthew Debono, Dwayne Pullicino, Matthew Griscti, Nicholas Degaetano, Trevor Rutter and the evergreen, Mark Gatt.
Local champion Matthew Asciak will not be competing as he is nursing a niggling injury.
Players are placed in two groups as per below with the top 2 players in each group contesting the semi finals.
Tennis enthusiasts are invited to watch the group matches from Sunday till Wednesday from 5.30pm onwards with the two semi-finals being played on Thursday the 22nd at 6.00pm. The final is scheduled to be played on Friday, the 23rd December at 2.30pm.
