The final of the Top 8 Masters sponsored by Bank of Valletta was played earlier this afternoon. Liam Delicata and Alex Degabriele regaled the sizeable crowd present to some aggressive and high tempo tennis.
Alex proved too strong on the day and Liam seemed to struggle a bit to contain the powerful strokes generated from the other end
After winning the first set rather comfortably 6-1, Alex had to dig deep to clinch the second 6-3 as Liam was beginning to find his range but it proved to be a case of too little too late to change the tide completely.
Well done goes to both players for their efforts and special thanks go to Bank of Valletta for their continuous support to the tennis Federation and for Marsa Sports Club for graciously providing the courts to host the event.
