A National Hockey player at the Hockey European Championships held in Brussels in 1970, he was the Malta Inter Services Tennis Champion in both Singles and Doubles Tournaments held by the Combined Services which were stationed in Malta. His main contribution to sports administration was in Tennis, being one of the Founders of the then Malta Lawn Tennis Association in 1960. Active in Tennis Coaching Courses and Officiating, he accompanied local junior players on various occasions as their coach for their participations abroad. Entrusted with the majority of International Junior Tennis Tournaments organised by the local major Tennis Clubs of Malta. He was also a member of the British Tennis Umpires Association for a number of years. In 1980 he was accepted as a Wimbledon Official and served as one of the Chair Umpires during the Mediterranean Games held in Morocco. In 2006 he was Referee of the World Medical Tennis Association tournament. He is nowadays active with the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation ‘Solidarity through Sport’
