One of Malta’s leading players in the 60’s and 70’s winning his first Singles Championship in 1965 and since then captured ‘ at some time or other ‘all major trophies at singles , doubles and team events ; represented Malta at Mediterranean Games Med Games as a player in 1967, 1971 , 1975 and 1979 and was the Maltese participant in the first Professional Tennis Tournament held in Malta. He also placed runner-up at a national ‘Sportsman of the Year award’. As National coach he captained Maltese teams in Davis Cup, Federation Cup and Mediterranean Games
