The Marsa Open came to a close earlier today with the men’s singles final between the experienced Matthew Asciak and young Liam Delicata. The early exchanges were keenly fought and the good crowd present were anticipating a tight battle. The experience and court craft of Asciak however began to tell and he was winning the great majority of the pressure points. Although Delicata continued to battle hard Asciak proved to be much stronger on the day and he won comfortably 6-0; 6-0. He therefore completed the double as he also won the doubles event with Bradley Callus earlier in the week. Well done everyone!
